Crochet Baby Hats Scrapbuster

thumbnailYou’ve been asking and I finally came up with the crochet version of my Knit Baby Hats Scrapbuster! It employs a variation of single crochet called the “waistcoat” or “knit” stitch and it really DOES look like knitting!

Download the Crochet Baby Hats Scrapbuster pattern here and as usual, there’s a video tutorial that guides you through the pattern reading and hat construction AND demonstrates the waistcoat stitch!

Right Handed Video Tutorial is here.

Left Handed Video Tutorial is in progress…

The yarn used for this pattern was Hobium Yarns  LaMia “Just Wool” 100% Recycled Wool and quite frankly, it was a joy to work with! Great price; reduces waste; excellent natural fiber benefit!

  1. Hello Margaret,

I appreciate your Addi tutorials. They are splendid. Thank you very much.

I have a problem. I need to put circular knitted pieces back on the machine. ( I made scarves too short.) Some of the pieces have waste yarn on the ends. Others have a strand of yarn threaded through each stitch in the last row, as you show in your video on removing work from the machine.

I am wondering if anyone has done this successfully and can please tell me how. I will appreciate any ideas and suggestions. I am trying to finish holiday gifts on time.

    Thank you,
    Anne

  2. p.s. Oh, I’m so sorry. When I wrote the query above (asking how to put work back on the Addi), I intended to post it in the Addi Express section. I goofed and it ended up here. I apologize, Anne
